There are unhealthy and healthy tinned soups. Consomme is fine it is low fat and low calorie ( but watch the salt). really tasty soups like clam chowder are a disaster.

A good rule of thumb is if it tastes bland and boring it is not too bad for you, if its yummy its generally unhealthy. This tends unfortunately to apply to most things we eat and drink, despite what people pretend.

some articles say that the soup gathers a little metal oxide, that is why some things taste like metal. don't know the validity or how bad it is.
that too. they use preservatives and especially saty away from anything that contains monosodium glutamate or MSG.
if u can't, it's ok. just have it once in a while, not everyday.

plus these things are not really nutritious as whole wheat bread, pasta, fruits and veggies.

Buy a pressure cooker and make your own stock with chicken bones and vegetables, and you can then make any soup you like. It only takes about 20 minutes in a pressure cooker and is far healthier that anything you can buy in a tin.

not necessarily full of fat or calories, but definitely full of additives and preservatives and not very nutritionally sound. Make your own soup out of fresh ingredients and vegetables - it really doesnt take that long. And if you're off clubbing, eat something more substantial!
