I think they are trying to do too much - make their software to do everything for everyone and it has gotten to be bloated.

Microsoft is way too big a company too. They can't make good clean code because of all the teams and small sections of code that are worked on individually, and then collectively. No one really knows what the other teams are doing - just the hooks where their code will go.

This among other things.

MS software suits me less and less all the time, although it may suit others better.
