He does fine at daycare, and when he comes home, it seems like he waits to unload on me. I've done books, stickers, rewards, taking away things he likes until he goes on the pot. I have tried all I can think of.

if he's really gullable....say something like "if you don't go potty, santa clause will give you nothing for christmas" or "the boogie man likes to eat children who don't go potty"

if he doesn't know anything about that stuff, take away things he NEEDS, like tell him "i'm not going to feed you unless you go potty in the toilet" or whatever you're trying to make him go in. or if you're afraid he'll just deny it, no matter how hungry he is and develope a disease or something, just take away desert until he learns

also, pull ups has this diaper that turns cold if he goes in his diaper, so if he hates cold, give him that, syaing htat you've given up

Definately check and see if he's been doing #2 at the daycare before you assume he's just not doing it for you. It's generally around 3.5 to 4 years old that boys get that completely under their control. Also remember that even if they know when they've gone doesn't mean they understand the feeling of ABOUT to go. My little man didn't figure it out until about a week ago and he had the help of a stomach bug giving him cramps. He just didn't get how to use those muscles while sitting down. Be patient.

"He does fine at daycare" ... does he go #2 there? Ask them how they train and try to do the same thing at home.

Take a break for a month or so and start trying again. Don't let it turn into a battle of wills---its bad for both of you.

Good luck

If he goes on the regular toilet, maybe it is uncomfortable for him to go there. so try asking him if he wants his own potty and he can pick it out.

I think it's just going to have to take time. my next door neighbor's little boy was 3 and he kept going poop in his pull up and she told him that if he went poop in his pull up again he was going to have to throw away his favorite fire engine toy. so the next day he went and threw away his fire engine, and when she asked him why he did that, he told her that he went poop in his pull up. she did everything, even spank him for not going poop in the potty. he still did it. it just took time and him deciding that he wasn't going to. I would reward him when he goes, and punish him when he doesn't. he'll figure it out.

and just for the record....it is NEVER ok to take food away for punishment...that is just awful!

Is he fairly regular? You probably know the time he does it. Sit him on the pot until he goes. Don't let him get down

That's what happened to me
