Take him to your local vet. He probably has worms and needs to be treated immediately.

It needs to see the vet!! Kittens need worming and many have Coccidia, a protoza that lives in the intestine and can cause diarrhea with or without blood. It is easily treated with medication, but you need to see a vet. Kittens can die from dehydration caused by the diarrhea.
DO NOT LET A KITTEN OUTSIDE. It has had no shots and is not neutered. It needs to be kept inside until those things are done.

If you cannot afford to treat the cat and get it what it needs, I really think taking it to a shelter would be the best choice. Maybe you can adopt it back, maybe you could get another kitten when money becomes more available. Do not let this kitten suffer. It would not be really great living with diarrhea for weeks and weeks would it?????? Do what is best for the kitten. It CAN be very serious!!!!!

Since you stated that you cannot take him now to the vet, make sure he is hydrated well. If you are feeding dry food, add in water. You can also do that to wet food. sometimes the problem is in the food he is eating (he has changed his mind about how good the food is), or also some stress that he perceives, but you may not be aware about. A bit of blood could indicate stress, or it could be something more serious.

But you really need to find a way as soon as you can to take him to the vet. He needs some help, and you need answers.

If you get some puppy training pads and put them around the litter box, it will help in the short term with the problem.

Could be worms, giardia or coccidia, or maybe something else. Take him to the vet, if you can bring a fresh stool sample that's good, if you can't the vet can still get one from him anyway. EDIT actually it is something serious because your kitten can very easily get dehydrated from the diarrhea, which is a life threatening condition, if he is not already dehydrated.

Please take him to the vet immediately! I had a kitten with the same symptoms, and it turned out that he had feline luekemia. Please don't let him suffer, he may be in pain!
