my doctor is the one who told me that it will go away by its self but i am going back to see what he says since its been a WHOLE year and no change. also a less expensive way that i have found out about is a brace that has worked and i am 16 do you think that the brace would still work?

Although pectus carinatum is seen by itself, it occasionally is seen in association with other problems. Has your doctor checked you for those?

Pectus deformations often do not go away. At some time you may want to consider a surgical repair. For this you need to consult with a thoracic surgeon experienced in such procedures and have a frank discussion about the pros and cons of such surgery.
