Carolina rig,Texas rig, etc. There are too many to name. If anyone can send me a link or walk me through a few different rigs and how to tie them I would appreciate it.

Some of the best teaching videos are free online from Gary Yamamoto's Custom Baits at http://www.insideline.net/video/index.htm
You will find most of the commonly used rigs for freshwater fishing and some pro tips and tactics for using them.

Here you will find additional info on learning the basics of fishing:

For Cat fishing use a #2 hook ,long shank .thread chicken liver on it .Two feet above your hook add a swivel .Above your swivel add a slip weight ,1/2 oz or 1 oz. .If you cant get the liver to stay on , use the same hook and put a small blue Gill on there .Hook him through both lips , bottom to the top .Bass will eat them too ..If you are Texas or Carolina rigging a plastic worm , "Peg" your weight with a tooth pic so your weight wont slip up @ down the line !!!

The link I am posting is the best illustrated on Fishing Knots. I have tried several other sites but this one is animated showing step by step.
