We use oil to heat our home , and I would like t o stop useing oil ad switch to biodiesel. I was just wondering if the biodiesel would go bad if it was sitting in a 100 gallon tank waiting to be used?

It won't go completely BAD, but it can lose octane value over time. But you can add Soltron natural enzyme fuel additive to increase the life.

diesel fuels (including BD) are rated in CETANE, which is it's ability to burn.

as opposed to octane, which is gasoline resistance to burn.

it should be ok. depends on how quick your going thru it. if you let it sit the summer, you may have problems.

anothing problem you may have is your seals. ANY rubber lines or seals that come in contact with BD have to be viton type.

otherwise they will swell and start leaking.
