Someone came on on their day off to put name stickers on the time sheets because nobody knows how to do it right. Can you top that?

Better them than you.

Your office either needs better written procedure, or less micromanagement. Were the time sheets being processed incorrectly? If so, do you think these "stickers" will help? If they help, then I guess "It's all good" ... as the saying goes. If they did not help, then what a waste of time! And, how did that person code their time. Not very productive. I agree with you, and micromanagement is an incredible problem in today's workforce. If nobody has given reason not to "trust" in this incident, then they have done nothing wrong. It sounds like it was very mismanaged to me. On the other hand, if these employees can't be trusted, then they just need to be fired.

That is worse than the person being a control freak, it's a total lack of backup in the office. The person to blame is the department manager for not having a backup to this person. People tend to want to keep tasks that they only know to themselves thinking it's job security, a good manager needs to realize that should that person leave, die or whatever quickly they will be in a bind and not allow it.

I thought I got it bad at work, but I guess not! Yes, that is a control freak. There is this lady at work who used to bother some people. She used to walk around in the office just to make sure everybody is working. She only asked some of us if we needed help if the big boss was around, just to make herself looked good. But then she got a lot better. She still does it sometimes but not as often as before.

No, the control freak was my old CFO who had to approve where each new employee sat rather than letting the facilities manager just handle it. Or the marketing manager at a different company who had to have the final say on every little detail of the products we manufactured - down to the plugs we used to cover screw holes!

I have a control freak in my office, as well. I cannot stand her. She's about 12 years older than me with no education and she think she is the boss because she's older. LOL! I have a lot more experience in the field, with a degree and I make a lot more money than she does. It pays to go to school.

Sometimes it's easier to label things than to try to read some people's hand writing............................ therefore, it is not the work of a 'control freak'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
