LOL. Good one; with their right to be treated as equals... we should start to expect them to do things for us as well!

Women don't leave the toilet seat up because it looks disgusting to walk into the bathroom and see the seat up.
And if women used the toilet with the seat up, most women would have the decency to put the seat down .

this question should be "why don't men put the seat DOWN?"

I HATE it when at night I want to use the toilet and not have the light on and I sit on the cold and WET porcelain because a MALE hasn't put the seat down.

We have 2 toilets in our home and usually the seat is left up until I make a point of saying to my husband "pls put the seat down".

Visually the toilet always looks better when both the seat and lid are down.

Because majority wins! Males and females BOTH sit on the toilet seat to go #2. The only time it's up is when a man pees and splashes on it...:|. So the toilet is used more with the seat down than UP.

Guys, if I am willing to never complain about whether or not the seat/lid is up, are you willing to clean up if you make a mess? I find that all the guys I know personally are more than happy to oblige!

I for one have NEVER cared about whether or not the seat/lid was left up or down! Just as long as everything is left clean, I do not care! I don't understand the point. Like I said, as long as things are clean... I keep a container of disinfecting wipes sitting on the back of the toilet for quick easy clean-up.

I honestly don't know. I've always thought men were just as entitled to having the toilet seat the way they like it. At my house, my boyfriend and I have our own bathrooms, and if I'm ever in his, I make sure I put the seat back up when I'm through.

Everyone, both male and female should make it a habit not only to put the seat down, but the lid as well. It is true that tiny splashes can enter the room and be on things like your tooth brush, comb whatever is sitting close to the toilet.

The underside of the toilet seat doesn't have the same smooth, sexy contours as the top. If toilet & toilet seat designers made toilets look sexier with the seat up than down then more of us would put the seat up when we'd finished.

good one. Where does it say on the toilet instruction manual the seat is suppose to be down.. if you ask me the seats suppose to be up. Hey if we have to sometime lift up the seat, then girls can put it down sometimes too. I think girls think its suppose to be down cuz we don't complain about it being down. All you the girls that complain. and say things like " how would you like to seat on a cold wet toilet bowl with out the seat?" I say to them.. "why don't you look before you squat.
