Yes. They became afraid to spend money, as it had a distasteful statement printed on it. It was the perfect plan - that is, until credit cards came around (within 1 year, I think.)

The USSR collapsed and the Berlin Wall fell, so this is proof it worked.

I believe most of the early Americans had some type of faith in God...the majority might've not been devout christians or whatever, but they believed that God saved and helped them through their tribulations when they first settled this wonderful country....which led to the God we trust on the currency and the Pledge...

face it people.. God or religion plays a major part in our history whether we like it or not....

No, it didn't help us attempt to rid the world of Communism. A higher military budget and a few hundred thousand American lives helped us to keep it from spilling over onto our lands.
God has been kicked out of America for well over half a century.

We did not defeat the communists Fidel Castro is world's longest serving leader and everything is made in China and we lost vietinam. Now we are he process of not defeating jihadists.

One nation under God indivisible was added in there after WW2 because we are not a communist nation. This is a blessing on our country. In God we Trust is also a blessing on our economy as we trust is God to keep us.

President Reagan was a Christian and he knew exactly what to say to defeat the Communists. I don't think our money had much to do with it.

No, but it sure gave rabid atheists something else to whine about. I just find it amazing that anyone could be so bored that all they can do is sit around looking for something else to whine about.
