NO! US Army basic training is 8 weeks in length. However, by the time you get done with inprocessing (uniform issue, shots, haircuts.....) you can probably add at least another week onto that. You also got to add in the time it takes for the basic training Company to fill up before they actually start basic training; so you could realistically be looking at 10 weeks from the time you leave home till you graduate basic training.

Army basic training is nine weeks long. It is split up into 3 phases of 3 weeks long. The phases are called red, white, and blue. Including inprocessing it usually takes about 10 or 11 weeks total.

No there is isnt.
However, it has been looked into and talked about. Having an abrievated Basic Training for people that score high enough and have some of the basics, such as Drill and Ceremony down and those from JROTC and other sources. Not all would go to it, only those that qualify.

Basic is still nine weeks. He's just listening to the barracks lawyers who are telling him he went through the last hard class, the same things I was told when I went through and my leadership was told when they went through.

Yes,and it's only for officers! They learn how to salute and stand with their mouths closed long enough to receive their next orders!
