Don't be manipulated by the government blaming Bush and the Rep's or vice-versa. Everybody can do little things on a daily basis to help our environment. My wife and I quit smoking recently. We try not to use our a/c unless we need to. Until the majority know how to use things in moderation, pollutant levels will rise. It will continue to cycle until The Earth dies. But raising the global temp 1 degree in the last 100 years hardly constitutes global warming.

A Great Solution ...
#1) Global Warming is super serious, everyone should take note of it's outcome because it will be catastrophic if we don't do something about it.
#2) Before we get into alternative energy solutions, we need to look at our current consumption, it does not Matter where you live, each one of our homes is contributing to the problem, if we would just think about adding some compaq florescent lighting, energy star appliances and open a window or two, we would all contribute to the success of taking care of the global warming threat.
#3) For those of you that are thinking of going green, solar is a GREAT solution for all the right reasons, I don't believe jumping right into it before you first take control of your current consumption issues ... cutting back on your current kWh or kilowatt hours will save you a ton of money before you go solar, a good place to start is http://www.patriot-energy.net
Once you have controlled the kWh consumption in the home, then you can purchase the solar power you really need.

Global warming is one-half of the climatic cycle of warming and cooling.
The earth's mean temperature cycles around the freezing point of water.
This is a completely natural phenomenon which has been going on since there has been water on this planet. It is driven by the sun.
Our planet is currently emerging from a 'mini ice age', so is becoming warmer and may return to the point at which Greenland is again usable as farmland (as it has been in recorded history).
As the polar ice caps decrease, the amount of fresh water mixing with oceanic water will slow and perhaps stop the thermohaline cycle (the oceanic heat 'conveyor' which, among other things, keeps the U.S. east coast warm).
When this cycle slows/stops, the planet will cool again and begin to enter another ice age.
It's been happening for millions of years.
Humans did not cause it.
Humans cannot stop it.

If you are sincere, look carefully at the answers and you will begin to understand that Global Warming is a political phenomena, not a scientific one. I hope you don't think that conservatives want the earth to heat up. The solution to global warming does not involve joining liberal causes or voting for them. Their answers reveal the true motives if you are sharp enough to see through it.

Global warming, global warming, global warming.
The Bird Flu, Bird Flu, Bird Flu, Bird Flu. Y2K, Y2K, Y2K, Y2K, Y2K. On and on and on and on. It's just the latest scare tactic. The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof. God will take care of global warming. Just a tiny fraction of a change in the cloud cover and then---no more problem. Of, course, we should be good stewards of what God has given us, but to think that we can make a difference is the height of snobbery!

Firstly I'm not common and secondly there is tonnes one can do......
If you like living here and that goes for all mankind, each individual needs to take care of that which gives life.
So the less pollutions and carbon emissions, the less we dump waste and the more we recycle, turn off standby on tv, buy green light bulbs, use non toxic cleaners, do not spray living plants, be sensible about keeping all things healthy and in balance (never feed another animal, sick dead meat from one of its own kind, never feed a herbivore, animal flesh - if one really wants to eat healthy, nourishing food oneself) common sense really.
Look after the earth and its animals and the earth and animals will maintain your own health and life.
Global warming is a reality and man can do a lot to slow it down. If man doesn't care enough it will happen alot more quickly. The choice is ours.

Stop worrying about it.
It's just a ploy by the international banksters to get government to spend more money so they can perpetuate their cash cow.
Global warming is an alarmist myth. It's not a reality.
In one day, a single volcano emits 100 times the pollution that all mankind has produced in the history of the planet.
Focus on things that matter, like cruelty to animals, or the murder of unborn children.
We should seek to be more energy wise by converting to renewable resources like wind and solar, so you can personally get solar panels or a wind generator to supplement or replace what you get from Edison, and you can get a more fuel efficient car, but stop worrying about "global warming", it's just capitalist propaganda.

Like him or not, Al Gore has been talking to some of the best Scientists and investigators from around the world for over 30 years. I think we should listen to him, buy his book and follow the directions laid out by the guys who really know whats going on, our Scientists and Geologists. Most have wonderful knowledge to share if we will just listen.
