Early season movement from family herd animals does change some with the later season with some of the age class animals being pushed away because of breeding or age of animals.
Young bachlor males will start to break away and find area's(home ranges) for themselves.Age class does with out fawns will break away from family herds but usually do not stray far.
This is natures way to control total inbreeding with in family units!Does not mean these deer leave the area all together they just expand their own area's!!!!
As the season changes you may find (transient bucks) looking for their own range and for breedable does.Food competion will at time drive animals to different ranges but as weather changes their pattern changes also.
This is a short bit of info on changes of deer movements but hope it helps some!

If the food supply is good, most deer will not travel more than about a mile from their place of birth. I have noticed different colors of deer also but I believe they are just of a different "family".
I've seen whitetail that are black and Grey to red to buff colored. Sometimes it can give you information that possibly the does of some yearling has already been killed when you see a young one of a different color alone.
Plus, I think it is possible they change coloration so with the changing season. I am not sure , but its possible

John V could be correct, but deer DO change their patterns later in the season. What I've noticed is they won't venture too far from their summer trails, but do indeed use "autumn" trails. I'm sure it's a natural instinct they have that we'll never understand, but I always thought it might have something to do with the time change in the fall. Deer get used to human activities and schedules, so when that changes, so do the deer habits. Sounds crazy, but I've talked to some CO's who feel the same way.

Are you sure that you are seeing "Whitetail" Deer in both situations? Are there Mule Deer or Blacktail Deer in the area you filmed? These breeds have similar walks but run in completely different ways. Whitetail Deer leap long distances running away and the other 2 breeds seem to "bounce" up and down as they run . If thats the case, but unless I saw the pictures/video it would be impossible for anyone to tell you why.

i will attempt to respond to this as suitable i will: Whitetails will flow with a small volume of wind (0-10 mph). Gusty wind retains deer moving way from uncovered factors. Deer have faith in thier nostril to hit upon probability, so factors the place wind will influence smell the main (tops of hills, ridges, fields, and so forth) are places deer will dodge. assume deer to stay deep in valleys or holed up in clearcut factors with various cover. in the time of gun seasons however, something can take place because of the fact hunters are pushing deer out of thier convenience zones and way from probability--in many cases basically to stroll into extra probability. nonetheless, deer will attempt to hunt for as lots cover as obtainable. reliable luck searching, and your English.

they use their legs and walk, but generally family groups of does move on to areas to mate as well as bucks move to mate chased off by larger more dominate bucks.
