How do the soldiers communicate with the Palestinians? In what language?

Why are people here so offended by this question? I am just curious. I guess I won't ask anymore questions in the Israeli section. And yes people in the U.S. do speak Spanish

I saw a documentary on the Israeli Palestine conflict, it was about 2 years old. The soldiers at the check points didn't speak Arabic in that documentary.
I know a Palestinian who lived in Jerusalem, he says you have to know Hebrew to get around in Israel.
