I have been working in a company for 1.5 years now, and I need to work out how much should I be earning per month, but don't know how to do it, and I think my pay slip is wrong. I work 40 hrs per week and and minimum per hour is 5.50.

Thanks.

The legal minimum wage if you are aged over 22 is £5.35 per hour. For a 40 hour week this equates to £214, or £927 per calendar month.

At £5.50 per hour you should be getting £220 per week, or £953 per calendar month.

All these figures are gross pay and tax and national insurance will be deducted according to your circumstances.

As you are earning £220 per week £880 per month for a four week month. As well as any deductioons your employer will also be taking NI and tax. The best way to find out is go to your wages office and I'm sure they will be please to help

I Detect some bragging and vanity in some of these Answers. I've been living on 1100 for a couple of years and although not splurging , I have no problem taking care of the basics

It depends whether there are any permissable deductions, for meals, accommodation, etc.
