A lot of christians wonder why atheists visit this site and frequent this forum. The question is asked almost every single day. Well, for me, to be honest with you it isn't that I'm trying to defend my thoughts, it's that I'm trying to cure you of yours. You don't realize that you're mentally sick. You've been convinced of invisible entities that grant your wishes and cleanse you of something (original sin) that isn't real, but that you've been convinced without proof that you have.
I know you believe this stuff, and you will until you get some help. I'm here for you. When you decide that you no longer want to be held by the chains of the people that shame you into giving them your money, I can teach you how to set yourself free. This is an honest effort to reach out to you. You can be sin free and worthy of being alive. You already are, you simply let certain ideas convince you that you aren't.
If you truly want to be set free, let me know. I can help you.

And not a single one can see the mirror you are holding up to them.
Its going to take a lot more deprogramming to get through, I'm afraid!

I'm a deep believer that religion is personal. No two people should worship the same way. Whatever helps them feel closer to God, that's what they should do. That doesn't mean that I condone some of the more dangerous teachings of the Baptist churches. The ideas of inner healing and using snakes to test people is a little extreme to me. On the other hand, our minds do exert a serious power over our health. A mere suggestion can put our immune systems on roids, and sometimes that's how these "inner healing" sessions work. It's up to interpretation. I don't think these people are going to hell. They honestly believe that they are following the word of the Lord, and as long as nobody kills anybody and sticks instead to the commandments, they're good. I don't care for the more extreme views like that on this forum.

You know, I always read someone's question, no matter who they are. But yours I stopped at "mentally sick" because I don't waste my time on immature, insulting people. So even if you had a valid point, it's moot now. Perhaps if you grow up and learn some respect, you may still have a chance.
2 Timothy 2:23 -- Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels.
KerryK, I couldn't agree more! I wish I could shake your hand. :)

Why would you want to waste your time trying to "heal" someone who isn't sick? That's their beliefs. They're not hurting you by believing, are they? Can't you find something more positive to do like maybe helping those with real problems? Or is it easier on you physically and mentally to cause problems. If you don't believe in something, let it go. Stop wasting your life. Do something positive in the world and truly help someone.

It is you my friend that needs the freedom of salvation and eternal life, not I. I have the fulfillment and the joy of knowing that I do not represent this life but the next. If you are serious and would like to be let go from your own prison, knowing that you are not perfect and believing that there is a creator that created you for a purpose of divine nature and that it is very important in the spirit realm that you realize you have an important job to do, you check this out.
Might I suggest the Angelic Conflict
And it's um free, as any literature or gift of God should be.
It is a free gift of salvation and understanding there is no price.

touché. but if I'm mad, leave me be. Jesus didn't force anyone to believe, so I don't force anyone to believe. personally, if I believed there was no such thing as sin, I'd be a person I don't want to be. no that aint the illness talking.

My friend, you are the one in bondage. To your hatred and unbelief.
It is fun right now for you - to be young and cocky, and ignorant of the truth.
Later on in life, it is not so much fun. In fact, as you get older it gets kinda scary. You have never seen real fear until you look into the eyes of a dying atheist.
I pray God may find a way to reach you, to touch your heart, to turn you toward repentance...before it's too late.
And that's the beauty of God. He never gives up on you. And it's never too late.

you are now playing the exact role that most religious people play - convincing others how wrong they are. it would fit you better to let them be or at least make some fun. you do consider that you are smart, don't you? and is this qustion (this initiative in fact) really that smart?

Well my friend when my faith prohibits me from learning, and expanding my mind (which Christianity does NOT) feel free to "set me free". Other wise I'm comfortable, with where I am.
