Place it in a plastic garbage bag and seal. Then place it in the trash can outside. No flies nor smell.

Try dumping it at the local park (they clean out every night) or better yet see if someone you know has a compost heap and toss it there it is excellent for mulching or just burying to feed soil too. Good Luck!

Don't dump in other's garbage for peat sakes people! I've had the same problem, pumpkins too.
I break it up and bury it in the garden. If it's nasty, dig the hole toss it in THEN break it up.

Cut it into small chunks, put it in a plastic bag, then stick it in the freezer until garbage day. It will not stink up your freezer.

Start a compost pile/heap. Then you can throw all of your bad fruits, vegetables, and cuttings in there and eventually you will have some good quality soil.

It sounds funny but take it to a walmart or fast food resturant and dump it into the garage can.
