What is one thing you have to take to the beach?

A cooler. Also, no matter what anybody tells you, you don't need to take sand to the beach.

Well since you say one thing, the most logical thing to bring would have to be a towel.

Because you'll need something to dry yourself with when you come from a swim. And even if u don't go in the water, you'll need something to lay down on (unless u don't mind laying on top of sand).

But regardless, a towel covers the most two important aspects when going to the beach.
Though you'll always need sunblock, but that can be covered by asking someone on the beach to share theirs with u.
Never will they share a towel, so its best u bring that one item.

SUNBLOCK!! sun burn got my back last time :(. beach towel so you don't have to sit on the sand. change of clothes, towel, snack, and a volleyball or something. i usually regret not bringing a shovel because whenever i want to dig a bon fire, i end up buying a 4 dollar set of kids playthings and dig a hole with some small yellow plastic shovel lol.. have a great time

These days absolutely have to have sunscreen of no less than spf 30 with me (since I've paid for all those years of sunscreen no more than spf 2).
