After eating more blood flows to the digestive system to help with digestion. That takes energy away from the rest of the body for a while. Also certain chemicals in foods like turkey can make you tired.

you shouldn't get tired after you eat you should be more energized. feeling lethargic after feeding is a result of the response from the endocrine system after feeding when the meal is either too large in calories or is not balanced. when insulin levels rise too high and too quickly after feeding (like after a high carb meal with little protein) insulin clears blood sugar and the body will be in a hypoglycemic state (low blood sugar).

Digesting takes energy. If you eat fatty or fried foods, you get really tired because it takes more to digest. Leaner foods like chicken, fish, rice, toast will not make you as tired.

You feel drowsy after a heavy meal. That is because your parasympathetic nervous system is stimulated. It diverts blood from the brain to the digestive organs, to aid digestion. The vagus nerve, going from the brain to the stomach is part of the parasympathetic system.

The increase of volume in your stomach crowds your breathing diaphragm. As you breath less deeply, you get less oxygen, and you get sleepy.

(I have no idea if that's true, but that's what a doctor told me.)
