hope- No, I have my own reasons to stay away. Just callin people out. If ya believe something then it should be much more than lip service. Growing up in the churhc I was taught to be christ like in word and deed.

The current religion taught speaks of God and Christ but it is not the God and Christ of the Bible. Man (falso prophets, that John calls antichrist) has twisted the Bible into something it is not. They use it to draw in a mass of followers who are hoping that this "god" will bring them some kind of earthly reward. The most popular today is the church that promises wealth here on earth, along with a multitude and various combinations of other rewards.

My pastor said something amusing along these lines a few weeks ago. He said that there are two primary reasons that people reject Jesus: (1) they have never met a Christian and (2) they have met a Christian!
As for your conclusion, sounds plausible to me as well. The bible makes it clear that the enemy attacks believers...this makes sense...why would anyone bother spending a lot of effort trying to change the hearts and minds of someone that is already on your side? I don't know that I'd automatically conclude that the "forms of christianity have been compromised", but I have no problem believing that virtually any Christian can and has been mislead by the devil on at least one occasion! After all, if he didn't have the power to deceive and manipulate, he wouldn't be enough of a threat to warrant mentioning in God's instruction manual!

Most current forms of Christianity have been compromised by greed. Christianity today is barely recognizable from what the apostles taught. Other traditions have been added in to make the churches more "salable". It is common knowledge that you can't get rich and powerful by teaching the truth, but by teaching what the people want to hear. But don't throw out Christianity along with mainstream Christian churches. Real Christianity is a beautiful thing. Human nature is the ugly part.

That's really not true at all. Everyone loves Christians, but anyway some people won't come to Christ because they don't want to give up whatever sin that they are into. They love too much. But on the other hand, the Holy Spirit draws a person to Christ, and if your not drawn to Christ, it might not be your time yet, or you refused and grieved the Holy Spirit.

I guess that depends on your definition of what a Christian really is.
Real Christians never are the biggest reason why people stay away from Christ unless you admit that the very real conviction of sin that their presence and words bring drives those away who refuse to repent and believe the gospel.
There are some so-called Christian groups and individuals who create false or bad impressions that could be used as an excuse by those who are looking for a way to circumvent the conviction of sin that is working in their lives and can only come from the Holy Spirit working in them.
The biggest hindrance to people becoming Christians though lies in every individual themselves. It is called drowning out the deeply implanted conviction of sin that haunts us and denying Christ is the only cure that drives people away from God.
On the day when all men stand before Him in judgment there will be no excuses accepted. There will be only judgment for those who refused to believe the Word of God and rejected the free gift of salvation and are guilty irrespective of who they wish to blame.
We are individually responsible for our own souls. God will judge what we believe no matter what our lives were like and who we encountered along the way. After all, He did make a way out for those who would believe in His Son Jesus Christ with their hearts and receive the free gift He offers.

First of all, I think you are confusing Christians with fanatics. Secondly, are you implying that only churches may have been corrupted by the Devil? Actually, it wouldn't be any of the churches that follow Christianity that may have been compromised, but rather people. The Devil cannot compromise the faith itself.

I will believe that Christianity is evil but not the Christians. I have many christian friends and they are good people. Its just that they have had the unfortunate luck of running into Christianity. Since I do not believe in the devil I'll have to disagree with you. I think all religions were started by opportunistic men that were trying to take advantage of primitive people.

That was John's concern in Revelation in the Scripture when he spoke of the "last days." Some churches would remain true, others would be compromised.
So sure, it's possible. After all, we have been in the "last days" for a long time...

It's true that many people who go to church do not practice what the Bible says but that doesn't mean there aren't those who really try to be good Christians and do their best to set the right examples.
If people are letting others keep them from going to church, it is called an "excuse", not a reason. They don't want to go so they blame someone else rather than be responsible for their own decision not to go. We all sin and there are some who make a mockery of Christianity but anyone who is sincere and truly wants to be saved won't blame others for not doing their very best to serve and please Christ.

the biggest reason that ppl avoid Christianity is their own pride. some people do not want to hold themselves accountable to a Holy God and, thus, conjure up all sorts of theories and alternate hypothesis on heaven and the afterlife.
That being said, you are correct that satan does use the sin of Christians to drive a wedge between God and those He wishes to reach.
Shame on us for allowing that. Although we are all human, we should exhibit love more often, because as the bible says, true love cures all wrongs.
