It is fine if you don't need the extra oomph of the SB800. I use it as a backup on a D80, and it performs well. Use lithium batteries and it recycles OK, it is a little underpowered for lightsphere work past a certain distance, though.

good flash, the 800 is alot better but if you can on;y afford the 600.. its a good little workhorse, I am using a couple older SB-25's that are great also.
