In many cases when you become a Christian, the changes can be so dramatic that, when looking at you, people can't begin to imagine what you were like before. You could call it a work of grace.
I'm so glad you put this question in - it's a reminder to us all not to judge a book by it's cover!

I think the media has a lot to answer for. THe media's portrail of Christians is either total boring nerds (eg: Ned Flanders from the Simpsons) or paedophile priests. Nothing normal in between.

However I know and it sounds like you know that this is not the majority of Christians. Yes, there are some "Neds" out there, and unfortunately some creepy Christians also but I think both are a minority.

People seem to think that bc we don't take drugs, sleep with our bfs, steal, etc etc that we are boring. Truth is that I am a lot happier than some of the non-Christian girls I know.

Enjoy your life while honoring God in what you do

Luv B

Christianity has become full of superstition and fear. It is supposed to be a logical, and joyful relationship with God. The Bible gives us a second-to-none insight into human nature, and the big picture of life. It is human nature to judge others, not Christianity. that's why the Bible warns us to watch out for that in ourselves. Real Christians judge between truth and error, but don't judge other people.

If you went topless in 70s you must be around 50 years now. Who cares what you do at 50? You had your worldly fun.

I know quite a few people like you. For you religion is another kick. You are old now and are happy with this kick. If you were younger I am sure you would have tried some other kick (religion)

Because your old and you're worried of what awaits you when you die. Before you didn't care but as old age creeps up on you, you're hedging your bets and keeping your fingers crossed that you've chosen the right path. That's why you've chosen the church at such a time in your life. The brain washing & preaching has rubbed off on you. Harsh I know but true.

I forgot to say - bring on those thumbs down. You christians should be used to that.

I too have "lived" a little when I was young. I changed through my belief in Jesus too, also I think age has a little to do with it.

The bible is the word of God and therefore these silly people can not find TRUE fault with it, so the next best thing is to have a go at you.

Remember what Jesus said,
"Bear in mind the word I said to you, a slave is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will persecute you also;"
John 15 v 20

I do not assume that you are boring, who told you you were boring? I guess the more important question would be by whos standards is your life boring? Adults or teenagers? Who are you comparing yourself to? I've known many christians, and one thing I can say is they are definitely different, but never boring. lol. Don't sweat it, plus we all know that the most avid holly rollers were the biggest hell raisers prior to finding Christianity.

I don't assume your boring. I do assume that anyone capable of the suspension of disbelief needed to accept both the logical impossibilities and the moral abominations of Christianity is a fundamentally weird person!

Looks like you made the right choice. Well done, keep up the good work. I'm not Christian myself, but I for one don't think they're boring or have never lived.
