Under a new fee structure the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services implemented last week, an immigrant applying for a green card would pay $930, an increase of $605. Other fees that increased were citizenship applications, which went from $330 to $595.

We keep hearing that immigrates give so much more than they get back, if they can not pay their own way, should we really be subsidizing their fees for citizenship. Once they become citizens then they will be able to really access all of our social welfare programs, is this the way to run a country. I pay myself about $400.00 last year for my citizenship...I didn't get any financial assistance so I say not to FA.
