How do you honestly think that is going to work? Where is the money going to come from to support all of these kids?

Hogie, you didn't answer my question. If you want to discuss welfare, perhaps if more men took responsibility for their kids, some woman wouldn't have to be on the system. Don't' get me wrong there are many good men out there who take care of their families, but you have to admit this is a problem too.

I am not sure who is going to support all those kids. I am a single mother. I support myself and my child. I make TOO much to get help. I am also wondering. Who is going to adopt all the children in foster care now???

I want abortion made illegal. No doubt about it. That baby didn't ask to be created.
Now, that woman who laid down and got pregnate, assuming she didn't use any form of birth control, which is the case most of the time, she did choose to get pregnate simply for her lack of choosing a means to prevent it. She has no more of a right to be god-like and make a life or death decision for that baby than a murderer does for the one they kill.
For thoes questioning what should be done when a drug addict gives birth to a drug addicted baby. That baby should be cared for and raised...period. The body has its own natural way of selecting wether or not the baby should be aborted. If the body can't support the new baby, then it will abort it on its own. If it dosen't then it should be concluded that there is an important reason for that child to be born.
BTW I am Wiccan, a pro life supporter, and a supporter of the move to make birth control free to all. From what I have read(you would have to look it up) it is VERY hard to get your tubes tied at a young age, simply because the DR.s won't do it.(Like its their decision) If more women had the right to get their tubes tied at 15 then there would be less unwanted births. As for the guys...hey, just go right in and ask for a clip to be put on your tube. Its called a temp. vasectomy. It can be removed later.

Abortion is a personal choice. Yes I understand how Christians think, but as usual they are not understanding about the chaotic world we're living in.

If a woman makes a decision to have an abortion for whatever reason, she should not be judged about it. At the ending of the day only you have to give account to God for what you've done. Only God have the right to judge you. Not mere humans.

I said earlier, I understand how Christians feel. Getting rid of a fetous is never good... for the woman and the unborn child. So in the mean time to make this "proceedure" less, try loading up on all the forms of birth control....

I think we do already..The reason for banning abortions is because its murder.. Today there is to many ways to keep from getting pregnant,, The best one is to not have sex before marriage,, yeah I know that's just so old fashioned.. but it works,, in to days time it has become to easy to just use abortion as a way of birth control,, Have you ever seen the pictures of what a baby looks like that had be aborted ?? And as if that's not bad enough now they will do late term abortions where the woman actually goes into labor and the doctor kills the baby as it's being born.. How can you not call that murder ???

You know what I say how about the people who want it banned sponsor a mother who is single and on minimum wage. They can pay for her medical care.. and then pay for the daycare while she works. Oh whats that... they can put the kid up for adoption yeah sure... thats going to make up for her losing her job when she get 8 or 9 months along and is no longer able to preform her job. Or better yet how about someone adopt the baby of someone who was addicted to crack while they were pregnant since its so wrong for them to get an abortion... they can raise the child with the birth defects and major disabilities..

I'd like to know this as well. Also, I'd like to see the people who don't support abortion support things like CHIP (children's health insurance in the US), education, lunch and food programs for poor children, and things like this. I also don't understand how someone can be against abortion and against sex education that would teach youth and other people things about safe sex. I don't understand how a person can be against abortion and also against the distribution of free/cheap birth control methods like the pill or condoms. I know not all pro-lifers are like this, I just don't know why some are.

Exactly. Life at any price... as long as it's not them paying it.

Abortion is caused by desperation, not legality. Take away the right and you won't stop it. You only drive it underground. If you want to stop abortion, you have to take step to a) reduce unwanted pregancies and b) make pregnant women less desperate.

why is it the women you are concerned about??

what about these guys that father 8 or 9 kids and walk away??

the please...please...please...if you love me...bs & bs& etc....never to be heard from again and she is stuck with the kid???

These girls did not chose to become single moms....the teen age "stud" had to prove he was a "Man" by making it with every skirt he sees.....

Just an idea...a teen age boy birth control pill or something that starts at age 12 and stops at age 25 or something when the brain kicks in maybe....watch the birth rate crash to near zero....

the "stud" should have to join the military and his pay divided between the mothers....give him something better to do....

Or people could just be responsible for there own actions and not have unwanted pregnancies. I'm 36 and only have one child that was planned and have been enjoying sex for around twenty years now . It ain't exactly rocket science how to not get pregnant.

The same place all the money is coming from to support all the other single moms on welfare... out of our pockets anyway through taxation.

And be sure they will vote for the party that sees to it they are given that money.
