Probably either NIV or the New American Standard (NASB) version. NASB is supposedly on a higher reading level than NIV, and it's pretty much debatable between those two. Both are about as close as it gets. However there are also other great ones.

It all depends why you are reading it.
A variety of translations is best.
If you want poetic English, there is the KJV.
If you want plain English of today, there is the CEV, or the NIV.
Both the NWT and the ASV are of great value.

Depends on your educational level. One modern translation of Ecclesiates transformed the word 'Vanity' into 'Meaningless" which is not the definition at all of PRIDE.
