For those in long-term relationships, do you wear make-up around the home etc. if you aren't going to be going out? I don't, but sometimes I feel I should make more of an effort for my partner and for myself (look way slobish without make-up!). At other times I think that I should give my skin a chance to breathe so to speak.

I don't.

I don't wear a lot of makeup anyway, so it's not a big deal.

My boyfriend likes the 'natural' look, and thinks I look prettier without makeup anyway, so that's not a problem either.

If you still feel 'slobbish', change into something else. Are your lounging around clothes slobby, or are they sexy? If your hanging out at home outfit can be sexy or a little revealing, your bf will love that, you will feel hot, and you don't have to dress up or put on makeup. Try maybe some skimpy short-shorts (workout shorts) and a see-through thin tank top with no bra - or maybe a lacy cami and panties. Hang out in stuff like that - and trust me, he won't even notice if you're wearing makeup or not.

Depends on what mood I'm in. If I'm cleaning house, sick, or it's hot, then probably not. If I'm depressed, sometimes I do put on makeup and fix my hair for a pick-me-up. Often times when I'm off work and he's working, I will stay in my PJs until about 3:00, then shower and do my beauty routine to be lovely when he gets home. He thinks I'm gorgeous with or without, but he does appreciate the effort on his behalf. He'll make a point to give me a compliment, so I know he noticed (and that's nice). Of course he does the shower, shave and cologne thing for me too if we're going out. I like the effort to look good for me too. It makes me feel special since he's doing it all for me.

In the rare case that I am not going to be going out of the house I don't wear make-up so that I can give my skin a break. However, there is hardly ever a day that I don't leave my home.

None of my ex-boyfriends ever cared that I didn't wear makeup at home. I don't think they would even notice the difference. Give your skin time to breathe and wear nothing but perfume to shake up your relationship.

I don't wear make up at all, unless i'm dressing up for a formal event. Then, I only wear mascara, a bit of eyeliner, and lip gloss. I don't like the idea that women are expected to cover up their real faces and paint on new ones :-) Mine is perfectly fine the way it is. My fiance says that he loves my natural face, and that it was one of the things that first attracted him to me.

I try to dress nicely and present my self well, just very naturally.

Sometimes I don't even wear it when I go out. For example, a trip to the grocery store or cleaners. It's not healthy for your complexion to wear make up all the time, so no... I don't wear it at home at all.

No, I don't wear it if I'm just hanging around the house...I agree, you should give your skin a break and go without.
