I believe in a God Who accepts all of us whatever and whoever. I believe in a God Who doesn't make up silly rules and send you off to Hell if you break them. My God is so much more than that. We are all Eternal. We are made of the same stuff as the stars in the night sky. We are amazing and loved.

this is catch 22 baby, many say it is believed that you only have to accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior and by grace you are saved. Hmm without a long explaination, let look at that statement. Is accepting Christ an act? Yes! Must you have faith? Yes Hmm So how can you say works are not part of salvation? Works is also and act! Now you can fall from grace according to scriptures. So Born again zealots, your wrong!!! We must accept christ, we must become born again, we must not have other gods before him, we must ask forgiveness of our sins, and never tire from seeking the lord and working towards our salvation. In the end since we can never be perfect our short comings are forgiven by grace. The parables about those claiming to have done good works and not given entry to heaven is just an example of how we might not be saved by works. We must strive to meet all of gods requirements beyond works...

If you accept christ today and kill tommarrow and die, your out..
If you accept today, become born again today, and live well, maybe even forget about god I think you still got a pretty good shot at heaven.
If you never accept christ, then god is the judge I can't make that call. But here's my thought's. How can a loving god who sent a son to die for us reject us when he knows it is hard to accept something that we can never see and will know that we can doubt what we can never really know on earth? Don't throw a bible at me as your proof. If it is on earth it was made or used by man.

I find it funny that people say an unjust God is not worth worshipping, but the way they define "just" is by their terms. You're looking for a God that fits your mold. Instead, you have to look for the God that is really present in this world.

I believe in a God that saves you because you accept him. Consider it this way. You can do all of the right things in this world. You can help every old lady cross the street, donate to every charity, and help every homeless person you see.

However, one day you are caught speeding and given a ticket. You take it to court, and defend yourself by saying all of these good things you've done. The judge responds by saying that while all of that is good, you've still broken the law and you must pay for your crime, regardless of how "small" it is.

A judge is just when he punishes the guilty for their crimes. He would not be just if he let you off just because you are good. That's how God sees it. You can do everything right, but you still have to be punished for your crimes.

That's why Jesus Christ came to earth. We couldn't pay for the punishment for those crimes ourselves, so he paid for them instead in the only way he could. He lived a perfect life and died on the cross to provide the payment for our punishment. However, it is a gift, one that must be accepted and cannot be forced on anyone. If we accept that gift, then we do not have to face that punishment. If we do not, then we have to pay for the punishment ourselves, and that punishment is eternal separation from God.

First of all, for those people who are judging U because you use U are just being rude. I believe that people need to understand that OUR generation have decided to abbreviate to make things quicker because time jst flies fast. THEY need to accept that we are the generation of txting, iming, and Internet. However, we still should know that when writing things like papers for college and letters we still have to write in complete words (for now :-) ) so never mind them!

To answer your questions, I believe in a God who saves me simply because I accepted him however I still have to do positive things because they make me better. He also blesses me when I do good things and he is pleased when we do positive things.

Hope I answered your q.

I am not sure that god as conceived in judeo-christian theology is persuaded by either of these two positions standing alone. If god wants to be worshipped unreservedly, then it would seem that beleiving in him/her should be enough, but if god also expects people who believe in him/her to give some outward maniufestation of that belief, then the works would kick in.

As I recall, the apostle paul said "faith without works is dead." The reverse is likely true as well in that system.

neither. I believe in a God who is everything and most of all love. I believe God has and always will accept me regardless of my experience.

you are displaying a logical fallacy, known as the false dilemma. You see, you are incorrectly formulating the dichotomy.

I believe in God because he saves me, and he saves because I accept Him and I freely choose to do His will. God accepts and loves me as I am, even with my sins. However, I will be rejected for unrepented sin.

"No man comes to the Father but by Me"

Forget about your positive actions. They mean nothing without acceptance of the Lord.

You have accepted neither, so I caution you that we are in Tribulation, and all will be judged according to their works, and of their acceptance of the Son of Man.
