We make no answer similar to the fools because we are not to be like him. We are to answer a fool according to his folly, so the fool will not be wise in his own conceit.

Verse 11 says As a dog returns to his own vomit,
so a fool repeats his folly.

And I like verse 20
"Where there is no wood, the fire goes out;
And where there is not talebearer, strife ceases."

Make up your mind. Should you or should you not "answer a fool according to his folly"?

There would be no dialog then, as christians believe that anyone who doesn't agree with them and their view of god is a fool. And the others believe from their actions and words alone that most christians are fools.
