Even if you do not need any correction for vision contact lenses are still required by law to be fit by a qualified professional.
Contact lenses are not a "one size fits all" type of deal and actually if they do not fit properly they can cause serious harm to your eyes!
An eye doctor needs to take measurements and tests to find the right size and type of contact lenses for you and to make sure your eyes are healthy enough to tolerate lenses.

Contact lenses are fit directly on to the cornea and the doctor needs to actually examine how the contact lens fits while you are wearing them. If your lenses do not fit properly they can cause discomfort, problems with visual acuity and even serious damage.
Contact lenses are a medical device regulated by the FDA and it is required by law to have a valid contact lens prescription to obtain them. The only way to get a valid contact lens prescription is to get a contact lens fitting.
You only have 2 eyes and they are too precious to take risks like that!!!
Buying decorative lenses from a beauty salon is a very bad idea... not to mention they are breaking the law (in the USA)
To safely wear contact lenses you will need to see an eye doctor for a contact lens fitting!

EDIT

I really do not think you understand the seriousness of this issue.......
YOU WANT TO RISK GOING THROUGH PAIN AND EVEN BLINDNESS JUST SO YOU CAN CHANGE THE COLOR OF YOUR EYES? Any store that sells decorative lenses without requiring a prescription from an eye doctor etc.... is breaking the law....
As the fda states: "The use of decorative contact lenses without a professional prescription or fitting presents a SIGNIFICANT risk for eye injury, vision impairment, and even BLINDNESS."

lol i guess being blind for the rest of your life is worth wearing colored lenses that look extremely fake anyways..... right? I wouldn't say so....

PUHLEEZE do not do this. If you want colored contacts, see an eyecare professional. That way, you know that the contacts are properly packaged and STERILE when you buy them. You cannot trust a beauty salon in this matter.
You also need a certified professional to tell you how to properly clean and care for the lenses. The employees at the beauty salon are not qualified to do this.
Never EVER play Russian roulette with your eyes. There are tons of things that could go wrong if the lenses are not clean, if you don't know how to clean them, if they do not fit your eyes, if the coloring is toxic, etc.
Go to a reputable eye center....I beg you!

DO NOT DO THIS! There is a very good reason why u need an exam for the contacts. They need to size your eye so they know what kinda of contacts to give you. If you go and wear some random pair you could effect your vision for the rest of your life. I really dont think some vain move would be worth your site, do you?

Any salons selling contacts without a prescription is selling them illegally. Contacts are supposed to be sold by prescription only for very good reasons. A lens that doesn't fit properly or isn't prescription quality can damage the eyes and lead to severe problems including blindness. Please, if you want to do this, do it the right way by seeing an optometrist for a prescription. Good luck.

If you buy them from the Beauty Salon & they don't fit properly & you don't care for them properly Not only will you have major pain you will end up needing very thick GLASSES because after you mangle your cornea just to save $$$ They will only be able to correct your vision with GLASSES.

Be very careful with this venture. Your eyes are extremely important and once you miss them up, it's something that you may never replace. Always buy them from a doctor.
