All pro-life arguements seem to be linked with religion. Can you give me one that's not? (Life is NOT sacred, it's just life).
If not (and it would have to be a VERY compelling reason), abortion should never be outlawed because that would be linking religion and government.
(It is your CHOICE to be religious and pro-life, just as it is mine to be atheist and pro-choice).

I understand there are emotions involved for the woman, but aren't there also emotion if she has it and resents it?
Medically, there is not much more of a risk getting an abortion than having plastic surgery, or even getting into a car on the way to get an abortion.
Yes, it is a choice that she would have to emotionally live with the rest of her life, but that is her CHOICE.

If life is just life, then what's to stop people from injecting an unwanted 3-year old? From selectively shooting a 19-year old who is unemployed? From euthanizing the elderly to save tax revenue for other projects?
These all step down a slippery slope toward the desensitization of murder. The items listed above were all undertaken by the pre-WW2 Nazi regime of Germany, one that most consider to be the most evil of the 20th century.
We know what happened to the Jews and racially unfavorable after that.
Biological human life is special at all levels.

Abortion can have tremendous social & psychological impact on the mother for many years after abortion. for some, the guilt of getting rid of the baby, for others it may be the social stigma thats attached with women who's aborted fetus.
There is a bond that is created with the umbilical cord and that physical connection should not be ignored (the emotional connection is a given) and this will have a significant impact when someone decides to have an abortion
Then there's always a chance that an abortion process can go very wrong and physical problems may arise as a result.

I'm an atheist but frankly the idea of an abortion is still childish to me.
If you have to well then I guess you have to but if you're getting an abortion because you were too stupid to use a condom then I think that's pretty irresponsible and low. I'm a big fan of people being accountable for their actions, stupid or otherwise. I don't see why any living cells should have to die because someone is a moron...nervous system or not.
That being said, in instances of rape, defective birth control, or danger to the mother I can fully see why an abortion is useful and sound but only before a certain stage of development.

I think its sad that when a woman is pregnant and doesn't want the baby it is called a "fetus" but when she is pregnant and wants the baby it is called a "baby." For me, it ties up in my personal feelings and religion. I will tell you from a post-abortion standpoint that there are so many mental issues that will affect a woman who has had an abortion. So, women may not suffer physical problems, but will suffer emotional and mental problems. That should be a disclaimer to all women choosing abortion.

If life is not "sacred" dpes that mean i can just go kill anyone i want to? I think life is "sacred". However, I do think woman should have the right to choose whether or not they want an abortion. I can understand why some feel differently though.

Sure, it was a perversion of the law. Even extremely liberal and PRO-ABORTION Harvard Professor Lawrence Tribe admits that. It created a FEDERAL UNIVERSAL "RIGHT" that the Constitution neither states nor implies.
There is a tremendous amount of ignorance among those slogan-chanting throngs of "Pro-Choice" puppets. Most of them HAVE NO CLUE what the abortion laws were prior to Roe Vs. Wade. Most have NO CLUE what will happen when Roe Vs Wade is over-turned.
Heck, most of them still chant that "back alley abortions" and "women thrown in prison" nonsense.

The pro-choice should be made before conception.
The argument about rape and children having children is a small percentage to the ones who use it for convenience.
When you stop one life you not only stop the one, you stop generations. It sounds a little dramatic but it is true.
Birth control should not be left to a surgeon or a doctor in a back alley.
A little commen sense can go a long way.

I agree.
Removing cells is not murder.
I just think no one has any business in the affairs of my uterus.
If we all were as concerned about providing birth control as some are about my uterus there would be fewer abortions.
