i called a guy yesterday (he is very hot) and talked to him for like 30min. he told me that i was very privileged that he didnt hang up on me. he usually hangs up on people he dont want to talk to. then i asked him if i was supposed to feel special and he says 'yes' was that sarcasm or was he serious?

Fisrt off... he has a big head about him doesn't he! Second, yes I think most likely it was sarcasm... Just not a cool funny kind of sarcasm to me... I am a very sarcastic person, but I would never talk to someone like that! I joke around sometimes that I seem to keep sending men to the recycling bin cause they aren't good enough, then break into the fact that I am still cautious since my ex... Maybe it me, but I would have had a problem with that comment... Sarcastic or not... There is a fine line with this kind of humor being funny v. mean, and I think he definately crossed it! Be careful around him...

i wouldn't take it too seriously it was probably just an icebreaker to make you laugh!! if he was arrogant for the rest of the conversation then you should have cause to worry, if not then next time you have an equally witty response for his call!! Give the guy a chance he was probably nervous as he likes you a lot!!! lol and good luck with him

he was kidding. obviously, if he usually hangs up on people he doesn't want to talk to, and he didn't hang up on you, then he wanted to talk to you. he was teasing you by saying, "well you should be glad you got to talk to me." and of course when you ask him if you should feel special, he says "yes, yes you should." he was just going along with what he said before, not being sarcastic or mean. he was just joking and flirting.

Sarcasm is primarily determined by voice inflection. Without hearing him it is difficult to say.

sounds like total sarcasm........if we were talking about a "regular" person, but this sounds like the superfical "model" personality......
In his mind, he was probably being totally seriously because that's the way he views himself and probably how he truly treats others, so in a very sad way he was probably being very truthful

Frankly, he may have been serious....but then, it wouldn't take half an hour to get that point across to you, would it? Hot or not, if he talked to you, he wanted to. That must mean you're hot, too.....don't you think?

I hope it was sarcastic humor, or he's DEFINITELY got an overinflated view of himself.

Tuck that in the back of your mind until you get to know him better...it may be his odd sense of humor, it may be a sign of insecurity (arrogance sometimes is used to mask that), or he may really be a jerk.

It sounds more like he was picking on you and flirting with you. I think he likes you and likes to talk to you. Let him call you some as well. If he does call then you know he likes you as well.
