Yeah but not like a house with a big lawn and garage. They have brown stone houses usually in NYC with no lawn and very rarely a garage. in the other boroughs they have regular houses.

For the most part manhattan has only apartment buildings and brownstones. There are very few private residences in the city. There are a few in the gramercy park area that I seen, but even those were converted into apartments. The other boros of the city actually have lots of houses.

Mainly apartments and brownstones in Manhattan. However, the other boroughs of NYC have regular houses (Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx and Staten Island).

There are houses in all of the five boroughs just very, very few in Manhattan like Gracie Manison.
