Gosh, you gave them the wrong idea.
When I was around 5 or six, my Dad's dog got run over. It was in terrible pain. He could have driven 10 minutes to the vets, but by then our dog would have suffered a lot and died. He was forced to shoot the poor thing.
And yes, it was very hard. This dog was his best friend. It was either him suffer to death, or end it quick. I think it still haunts him today.

I don't think you should shoot or kill an animal yourself unless it would die suffering on the way to the vets.

Why shoot an innocent animal for being in pain? A vet would most likley put the animal down cheaper than it is to shoot it. Besides shooting a dog could cause more pain and humane euthanizing has no pain invloved.

Your terrible.

So after you breed your "pets" to death and they are suffering, you take them out and shoot them. Wow, you are indeedy a responsible breeder.

What kind of sicko person are you?? If you don't have the money to humanely euthanize your so called "pets" then you shouldn't have them. What if you miss? What if you simply maim or cause more pain to the animal? What if death isn't instantaneous but comes seconds or a minute later? What if you shoot them and it's not fatal (there was a pitbull here that was shot by the cops FOUR times and lived).

What a stupid question - if you don't know the answer to your OWN question then you are a troll

You will find that there is a real urban vs rural opinion.
For a farmer putting down a suffering animal is quite normal, but to an appartment dweller it would not be.
And yes, it is always hard to do.

No. How bad is the wound? If it can be fixed, see about it. If not, take him into the vet and have him put down, so he don't suffer.

Yes I have, just a few months ago, one of my dogs got kicked by a horse. Her back was broken, I had no choice. It was quick and clean and painless for her. And yes it was hard to do.

my dad killed one when I was about 7 yrs old. It was old, senile and getting to be a danger to everyone. We couldn't afford to take it to the Vet to spend hundreds of dollars to put it asleep, so he had to shoot it. it was hard, but it was his family or his dog.
