Greatest place was Rome-where all modern civilization began. To see the Forum and Coliseum ruins, where it all began, was awesome. I just stood there in awe.

Most beautiful is Paris-you have to experience that to understand it.

Vancouver, BC

I'm from BC and been around, but I miss Vancouver.
For the most part, people down there treat everyone else like they were... well, anybody else. For a native, that was just too weird. I mean, even where I live sometimes people treat me like I'm an alien from another planet.

But in Vancouver, it was different. I felt free to explore the city. It felt more like the world than anywhere else I'd been. When I was walking through metrotown on my way to a movie and there were 20 different languages spoken in that short 10 minute walk.

Couldn't beat the walk down in Stanley Park on hot summer days, come on... I'm a guy! Seeing sunsets and sunrises down there were... memorable. I don't know, the place was awash with blues and greens. For the time I got to live down there, it actually felt like home.

And the drives back up here to the BC interior, can't beat the night driving through the canyon. Times close enough to the Fraser River you can open your window and hear the rapids and the humming of your tires.

Sure, it's not a perfect city, but for all the ones I've been to, can't beat Vancouver.

Worst place I've ever had to go... Toronto. Talk about a bunch of snobs.

There have been some excellent places mentioned already, some of which I have seen myself.

I would pick Yosemite. Yosemite is a valley high in the Sierra Nevada Mountains between California and Nevada. The entire valley is carved from one solid piece of granite, with bare granite mountains all around and a rushing river through the middle. There are also some of our wonderful redwood trees there. Everywhere you look are incredible views. In the Winter, covered with snow, it has a whole different kind of beauty.

The Grand Canyon. I don't think any description I could give this monument would do it justice. As intricately shaped as Michaelangelo's greatest work, It is truly an amazing place. It seems to change colors as the sun hits various points during the day and to watch the sun actually set there in an experience you cannot forget.

the banaue rice terraces in the philippines.

the terraces were carved out of the mountain range more than 2,000 years ago and are still maintained as a way of irrigating the area's steep slopes, which rise to more than 5,000 feet above sea level.
access is difficult, since the roads are roughly paved, but the effort rewards you with gorgeous views of one of the lesser-known wonders of the ancient world, covering more than 4,000 square miles.
bring a sweater, plenty of film, and a good hiking boots, as banaue is the perfect base from which to visit the villages of the ifugao, the region's tribal people.
the quality of light, the mountain air, and the drama of the ancient earthworks will make you leave your heart in the highlands of banaue.

The Lake District. What a wonderful sight. I was in the back seat all alone with my mum in the passengers seat and my dad in the drivers seat. I looked out of the window i could see so much greenery in one second!!!!!! it felt so peaceful and quiet. i could see hills and mountains, sheep and cows. and on one of the mountains i could see a little cottage with smoke coming out of its chimmney. it gave me a warm, fuzzy and welcoming feeling. we were going up a really tall hill. and we could see billions of cars ahead of us we could'nt even see the top of the hill., but it still looked beautiful. I don't think this is even enough to describe the place, truly enchanting!!!!!!!!!!!!
