People have been told from the time Christianity was created that anyone who didn't believe in Jesus Christ was in league with the Devil. Anyone who didn't attend church was a consort of the Devil. Everything that wasn't Christian was associated with the Devil, and because of this, people became afraid of those people. Those who were afraid would rather listen to rumor and propaganda rathar than actually see and learn what these people were doing. Now adays, the word Pagan is associated with evil due to these centuries-old rumors of which cannot be made right, because no one wants to actually be told the real truth. They want to remain in the dark, remain uninformed and ignorant. Therefore we wiccans, witches, pagans, satanists, etc... will always be given the broken end of the stick. Until the time comes when people want to finally come out of the closet (so to say) and stop being ignorant and actually accept those of different beliefs for what they truly are....decent people who want the same thing as everyone else in the world. A good job, a family and the world to be a better place.

i've got by no ability met a Satanist who hates Wiccans, until eventually the Wiccan became a fluffy bunny who starts in with the "Wiccans purely do white magic" nonsense. Now i've got popular some Thelemites who've little time for Wica, which isn't completely spectacular pondering Gardner lifted assorted stuff from Crowley devoid of applicable acknowledgement. yet threat is that for the duration of your case it is purely very own.

I'd say misunderstanding. What the majority of people know about the above groups is based off horror movies (which usually aren't the best source of accurate information). If you don't understand something you are afraid it might be a threat to you and your own, therefore it must be shunned and ridiculed.

"Other than the typical, "brain washed" answer?
Gee, maybe it's because we practice our "free will"?
We stand up for our constitutional right to be "what" we are?
We actually "do something" to control pollution?
We "are" concerned about the Oceans?

In answer to all of the above? "WE ARE REAL" and it scares the begeebees out of the "others" !!!!

on the wry side: "pass the plate brothers, the Pastor needs a new Cadillac!!!" (oh, I just had to throw that in there)

because there are too many ppl out there pretending to be what they are not, giving the true form a bad name. ppl need to learn to do research on the true forms of witchcraft before claiming it as their practice, it ruins it for the rest of us. plus ppl need to learn what it trully is before choosing to hate it.
