Yes, we free folk of the North are "tree people," not . . . *ba da bump!* . . . MUD PEOPLE! *G*

*with thanks to Yngona, from whom I viked it . . . you probably have to understand the terrain of heathenry a bit to get how funny that is to us . . . it's like "Asatru: The Other White Religion" . . . we like to play with how people sometimes misinterpret us!*

"17. Then from the throng did three come forth,
From the home of the gods, the mighty and gracious;
Two without fate on the land they found,
Ask and Embla empty of might.

18. Soul they had not sense they had not,
Heat nor motion, nor goodly hue;
Soul gave Odhin, sense gave Hoenir,
Heat gave Lothur and goodly hue."

Well in those times everything man made was from dirt. Houses etc. with clay, mud, or even trees and stone. The plants they grew and ate came from the dirt. So it would be logical to assume that the Gods used dirt to create as well.

So, I have A dirty' joke for ya
Scientist had become quite arrogant with their cloning a decided they didn't need God any more, so they call him and ask to meet him on a nearby 'dirt' hilltop. At the gathering they told God they could create a man and didn't need him anymore. Being the gracious entity God is, he said, "Okay, show me." (is he from Missouri?) The scientist bent down, scooped up a handful of dirt and when he stood he felt the dirt wiped out of his hand and heard..............."Use your own dirt!!!!"
LOL
Will I go to hell for that? TGIF!

Can I be from Trees, and Dirt?!

Maybe we can throw some Water in. Which actually makes more sense, given the actual amount of water we're made up of.

I also need sugar.

Yes, that is interesting.
They are all on to something, however,
in the Bible creation God Breathed life, i.e.
soul/spirit, into the human flesh made from the
dust of the ground. That makes us
extra special!

Noah knew the story of creation from God. It was Noah's sons that were scattered throughout the world. Shem, Ham and Japhath. They gathered first at the Tower of Babel and disobeyed God, so God came down and scattered them by language and they no longer spoke one language.

Many believe that Melchizedek was Shem, Noah's son, of whom Abraham gave tithes to. And we know Jesus is a Priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.

African creation stories often feature seeds, produce, fish and eggs. Dirt doesn't get to be people without digestion.

Greeks, we were made from clay and what made us special was electricity (which is AWESOME, as the difference between Zeus' divine fire and the action potential is the number of volts!) but then we were made again later from rocks....after the flood....

You know, the one that PRE-DATES the Abrahamic mythology.
