No. Little balls of metal or gel filled plastic can be purchased that can be frozen and placed in the wine glass that will not dilute the wine. Pop, blush or sweeter other 'girl' wines may have a cube.
An expensive wine like a Meursault or Montrachet would NEVER have a shard of ice in the glass.
Horrors ! ! !

No. It will Dilute the wine. Chill the White Wine first if you want it cold. White Wine tastes better when chilled. Only red wine should be served at room temperature to get the full taste. Wine should never be served with Ice, the only exception is when you mix it with something else (ie. a Spritzer) if you choose to do so.

The general rule is to drink it as you like it. However, you would certainly be missing something if you added ice to really good white wine (such as a top riesling or chardonnay).
With really good white wine, most people drink it too cold, and straight out of the refrigerator (say, 5 degrees C) may be too cold, because you can't taste some of the subtle flavours - best to let it settle a bit first.
But to each his own. Go on, add a cube if ice to a glass of San Cere, if you like.

No, it would dilute my wine. Normally people don't add ice into white or red wine.

Never. You can add those drink coolers to chill the wine, but ice will melt and dilute

Heavens! The wine and the ice should have a bottle between them. Chill the wine to a proper temperature, but please don't water it down.

I have seen people do this but i prefer my wine room temp.
It might be too hot for drinking warm wine. So i think its normal.

Im not a big wine drinker but I notice people usually do that if they don't have the wine refridgerated or if its really hot out.

I like it with a splash of soda water and ice with a lime or lemon wedge

No, infact i don't think I've ever seen anyone do that before...most of the Pinot Grigio I've had is served chilled.
