My son will be 12 in about a week and is about the same hieght. and my 16 yr old was to. I look at some girls that are his age and they left him in height it seams. But it is normal Boys hit grow spurts later than girls my 16 yr old that stayed short for so long is now 6' 1" so dont worry just takes them a little longer to get their.

My son is 11 years old and he is 4ft5in tall, so I think it is pretty normal. Make sure his weight is in proportion to his height as well.

An 11 year old who is 4'9" is in the 75th percentile for height. That means that out of 100 kids his age, he is taller than 75 of them. It is definitely normal, he is taller than average, but not extremely tall.

Sorry, 4'6" is just over the 50th percentile. Your son is average height, not short. I got this from the CDC growth charts.

If the blind element have been real, in all probability something like ninety 9% of adult adult males (and a superb type of girls folk too) could be blind, it particularly is a ludicrous previous different halves' tale, and it incredibly is incredibly not real. this could be somewhat early, in spite of the shown fact that it is commonplace. What he desires now's for his father (or, if his father is absent, a relied on male kin member; if none, then you definitely) to take a seat with him and supply him the controversy. he's clearly turning out to recognize himself, and he will want practise in case you do not % him to make some options he could later be apologetic approximately.

Your son is a little short for his age. My son is 9 years old, and he's 4 feet and 6 inches.
But don't worry. He'll get his growth spurt soon. That'll show if he's short for his age or not.

I don't think that is abnormal. Every child grows at thier own rate. My husband was about that tall until he was almost a junior in high school then he grew to be almost 6 ft tall.
If it is something you are truly worried about then call his pediatrician.

Ofcourse! Unless they are 18 and 4'6 or under, they are fine. If he doesn't grow anymore (which I highly doubt over 7 years) then it's abnormal. However my brother was the runt in 6th grade he was 4'9, and when he went back to school in 7th grade he was 5'7, now he is 6'5. So really you never know until they are fully grown. Give it time.

My son is 9 and a half and is 4ft3in tall. He is one of the smallest in his class; going into 4th grade. His friend just turned 9 and is taller than my daughter who is going into 5th grade. I am 5ft 5in and my husband is only 5ft 6in. I worry as well; but of course you can't do anything about it. Boys hit their growth spurt later than girls...so we'll just see!
