Koalabear, you disgust me. The other day on the local news here there was a story about 3 teenage boys who beat a four month old kitten to death with golf cubs, right in front of the little girl who had been given the kitten as a birthday gift. According to neighbors interviewed, these boys made a sport of killing any cats they found in the neighborhood. These kids are sick, and it's scary to think of the kind of adults they will become. What were like as a kid? or are you still one? Whatever you are, you should be ashamed of yourself.
Who do you think caused this problem with feral cats - or the stray cats that may simply be lost, or neglected by their owners, or no longer wanted and deliberately left to fend on their own? People, that's who, irresponsible, cruel, stupid people - the kind who should not be allowed to have ANY animal as a pet.
Also, people shouldn't have cats if they do not plan to neuter them; or, if they want their cats to have kittens, take the responsibiliy of finding good homes for these kittens.
People caused this problem - and it's up to us to find a humane solution. Becoming informed and involved and educating people is the first step. Taking steps to prevent this problem from continuing, the second. And getting it out in the open, using the media to reach people, will also be a big help. So many people are unaware - they need to be informed and solutions need to be found. The more of us that become involved, the closer to a solution we will be.
As for those of you who own dogs, and think they somehow rank higher in the animal world of pets and deserve more protection than cats, you couldn't be more wrong. I have had cats all of my life - they are just as loyal, just as affectionate and lovable and funny as any dog, and are wonderful companians. They may take more work to be that way - but the effort is worth it. I also love dogs, but am tired of the rap cats get as pets.

Such issues of life and death have become increasingly numerous lately. Whether it is the life of a single human being or a pet,the controversy and speculation behind these issues are quite perturbing. From my perspective, we should treat other organisms other than ourselves with an ability to feel emotions and have intelligence to be sentients,beside ourselves. I truly believe that all living things deserve the right to life,unless,of course,that it interferes that of others.Thus,I hold an impartial view towards the killing of cats,and,although this may sound ludicrous to some extent,think that a cat's right to life should be judged in the same way as a human.

I didnt go to the site.. but as long as people dont spay or neuter there will always be more cats than there are homes..
alot of people are really ignorant - they think if their cat has 1 litter that its ok.. but really that one litter might go on to have 1 litter each etc... in 4 years you have over 1000 cats just from that 1 first litter.
now also people think "Well my kittens all found homes" that may be true - but it means somebodyelses kittens DID NOT!

Personally, I don't get the point of killing feral cats, its not fair!!
If you were a feral cat, would you appriciate being killed, just because your not trained. If their not domesticated, I say train them.
We have better things to do then kill cats. And what if the feral cat wasn't that bad and somone could easily train him.
I'm just sayin, its not fair, theres more killing of stray cats then stray dogs.
My Grandmom had 3 feral cats, they all died of old age but they were all great cats. So I just don't get it!!!!!!!!!
And I standing up for Cats Rights. Who's with me???
One more thing, CATS RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry but that why people should neuter their pets. Cats are very independent creatures and are capable of catching their own food, cleaning themselves, and basically smart animals. Although I'm shocked to hear that the website is about protecting cats in China.. sounds like a money scam to me. If it were a dog then I would pay more attention..dogs need companions whereas cats are solitary animals.

There are a lot of people that oppose the killing of feral cats, yet not a lot of people that do much about the problem....and it IS a problem.

that is horrible that they kill cats and dogs in china i mean some1 should do something about that that is cruel and just wrong

It is better to mercifully kill some cats than to allow many cats to slowly die in some form or another.
