And if that was the case, then that would mean that that son/daughter would be sinless (unlike Adam and Eve that ate from the Tree)?

You know, since that child would be born before their parents sinned, thus not inheriting any sin.

unfortunately, they ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil before children were born, but that does work, in theory

The first sin was a sex act. The fruit of the tree of knowledge in the midst of the garden, was not fruit like an apple or orange. It was the fruit of the womb and it was carnal knowledge. If you read carefully enough you will see that the serpent which was an upright being who was very intellegent and could speak, beguiled (or defiled) Eve and she conceived. At first reading it appears that Adam fathered Cain, but if you read carefully, you will see that two sons were born even though Adam had only known his wife (Eve) once. And the very nature of the seed that was born tells us who the father was. Cain was a liar and a murderer from the beginning, and how could this be when God had already established that every seed would produce after its own kind (See Gen ch.1). Adam's seed could never produce a Cain, it produced an Abel and then a Seth through which the sons of God were born. If you catch this truth the word of God will open to you in a way you never imagined. Follow the geneaology of Cain and you will understand that all this world is Satan's eden. In the book of Jude it is clearly stated "Cain was of that wicked one".

It was possible (I'm pretty sure Adam & Eve could have sex back then), but it didn't happen.

Romans 5:12-13
"Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned—for before the law was given, sin was in the world."

Sin entered the world through one man--Adam--and death came to all men--everybody. So there wasn't a child born/conceived before the Fall.

However, you are correct that that child would be sinless IF it was born/conceived BEFORE the Fall.

Yes to the first. It is possible. The Bible does not really say either way, and it is definitely open to interpretation.

No to the second, unless they died a small child. The whole point of the Adam and Eve story is that we are ALL sinners, born in innocence, but given the ability to choose right from wrong when we mature. Being born in the garden has nothing to do with it. That is just a place, not a causal effect.

I do not see any reason that they could not have conceived before being kicked out of the garden. However, since pregnancy takes 9 months and anything that the parent eats or drinks does affect the fetus then the apple would have also been ingested by the fetus. Consequently the child would be born with the knowledge of good and evil and would subsequently not been born incapable of choosing evil over good.

Uh- no. Adam knew his wife Eve after they were put out of the garden. Anyway in II Timothy it tells us that it was Eve that was seduced and Adam was NOT a transgressor. So in a sense Adam was sinless in the garden anyway. He ate because he loved Eve and wanted to be with her- I believe.

I don't get how someone can be born sinful because of something he didn't do, in Islam a person is born sinless

In Islam It is learnt that after eating from the forbidden tree, Adam repented and God forgave him for God is Most Merciful. This is the lesson given to all Mankind by Quran. It is not of the Original Sin but of Original Forgiveness which shows the Merciful nature of God.

Man is by nature bound to commit sins either of small or major magnitude. God knows this nature of man because He is the Creator. God on the other hand is Most Merciful and is there to forgive man when he sincerely repents. The lesson derived from the Quran is much more complete and gives us a better picture of the nature of God. For forgiveness, all man needs to do is to turn towards God, repent for the wrong he did and promise not to repeat it. God who is Most Merciful then forgives the creation and on the Day of Judgment, this act will not be held up against him.

Thus the lesson which God wanted to give for all of humanity was that of Original Forgiveness rather than Original Sin. Islam teaches us this lesson and informs us that all newborns are without the burden of any sin on their shoulders. They are innocent. From the story the theme is easy to understand. God created man – Man committed sin – Man turned towards God for forgiveness – God forgave man for indeed God is Most Merciful.

Hello, Angelus:

Of course Adam and Eve had children before sin entered, but Adam was our leader. He had dominion over our planet, thus when he sinned, this planet became Satan's playground.

The Adam family thought Cain was the promised redeemer, but he became the first murderer. It was the promise of the Holy Spirit when God said: "I will put enmity between (man and Satan)..." that gives us the ability to resist temptation. Apparently Cain wanted to be saved by works because he offered a sacrifice of vegetables, the tilings of his hands. Cain was a shepherd and offered a correct blood sacrifice that pointed to the perfect sacrifice of the lamb of God.

The day they sinned they were cast out.
There was no time for a child to be born.
The proof that we are all born with Adam's sin of disobedience is...We Die.
That is the punishment for sin.
