"If everything in its smallest form looks exactly the same and everything is truly just space then where exactly is your consciousness?"
Where do you people get this stuff?
Reading books found on the "new age/spirituality" shelf does not make you knowledgable about physics or cognitive science. Sorry.

If everything in its smallest form looks exactly the same and everything is truly just space then where exactly is your consciousness?
-- In a confined region of space, or perhaps everywhere
Is your body not a manifestation because of your consciousness?
-- Why would it be? I think it's the reverse.
Also if everything looks exactly the same then where do you start and I begin?
-- Indeed. Good question actually.

Your consciousness is a manifestation of your brain which is part of your body. What are talking about that things look exactly the same? That doesn't make any sense.
Besides, while many particles do look the same you get different effects when you combine them in different ways.
Your question makes little sense.
Science and quantum physics...yep I've heard of them...not sure you have correctly understood anything from those topics though.

I'm guessing what you're saying is that we're all made from the same 'ingredients' (ie-hydrogen, carbon oxygen, etc atoms-?)... but we happen to have individual appearances...
Actually, that and all the 1 in a billion 'chance occurrences' involved in the earth being the way it is and capable of letting . But, I really can not comprehend anything being powerful enough to 'allow' the horrific crimes against humanity to occur
IE-the usual...Crusades, Inquisition, Holocaust, witch hangings/burnings
I understand that suffering some allows an individual to appreciate more but some of these past events are so horrible, if there's any memory of them, an individual would be incapable of appreciating/enjoying anything again
So, I'm more inclined to think if there are conscious beings that help our formation along, they are less than what we say they are...even if they're still more powerful than us

Your "consciousness" is electrical pulses running through your brain cells.
"Also if everything looks exactly the same then where do you start and I begin?"
I would answer that, but I'd get a violation notice.

consciousness is a result of higher brain function, not being an "object", it does not take up space. And it's easy to seperate you and I since we are not peices broken up into the "smallest form"

You don't need an atheist, you need a philosopher.
Or you could stop worrying about where you start and begin and your consciousness and just simply be.

Consciousness is the product of electro-chemical activity in the brain.

Not exactly the same. There would be a different amount of electrons. I have no idea what makes us conscious though. So does goddidit win your argument by default? Just because *I* don't know?
