Never NYPD, but I have two passes and one fail (three different departments) under my belt.
Those can be pretty subjective, and I wouldn't let it get you down too much.

In order to pass the psychological portion after being disqualified you must appeal the decision. Friends of mine failed the pysch portion and contacted Robert Kronenberg who helped them appeal the decision and get on the job. Good luck to you
