put the litter box in the tub. If she uses the litter box them move it outside the tub. If she continues to use the box them move it to your permanent location. Better yet get two boxes use the first one as above and the second stays in its original location..

if that doesn't work CLOSE THE DOOR TO THE BATHROOM! and put the litter box number one right outside the door. Hopefully she will use that one and the one in the original location that you choose.

Ok, the simplest way is to set her litter pan into the bathtub. She will likely use it there. It is a great idea as you don't get any over spill that is hard to clean then. Your floors will stay fresh and clean and no odours should build if you are diligent about cleaning her waste product.

The other thing is I wonder where you have been keeping her pan? No animal likes to poop too close to where they sleep or eat. You would not want to chew on pie while sitting on the toilet. Same with the kitty. Keep these areas well apart.

Hope you have success with the dear wee furry one. Give her a hug for me.

Cheers

Lisa

I have one that uses my bathtub on occasion. I can hear her throughout the house trying to sctrach on the tub like she does in her box and I will go run her outta it. I can usually go check her box and determine whether its either dirty and the litter maybe clean but just too old for her liking. Oh and she can only use one certain litter, because she won't use anything else I buy, in the tub she goes.

A friend of mine has a cat that will not use a litter box with a lid on it. The cat started going around the house, when she took the top of the box the cat started using it again. It could be the problem.

I had a similar problem with my cat. What we ended up doing was scooping up the poo and moving it to the litter box. I've never had any trouble since.

Make sure she knows where the litter box is. Take her to the litter box and let her get acclimated with it. She also is probably unsure of herself because she has never lived their before. Give it some time and all should be fine!

Have you tried putting a litter box in the bathtub?
Then she can get use to the litter in a location that she has chosen. Once she is consistently using the litter box you then slowly move it to a location you would prefer.

you haven't shown it where it litter box is .. out the cat in the litter box and carefully scrape it paw along the litter .. this gives the cat the sigh where its supposed to wee and pooh .. do this every so often and they should get the hang of it but if its an older cat it should use the soil outside but still try using this method :)

When I had my kitty.. I put her in a caged environment for the first 2 weeks. She had her litter box, and her bed and of course enough room for her food and water. She will eventually learn to use the litterbox.

Put the litter box in the bathtub until she starts using it, then slowly move it to the desired place.
