Start doing things for you. Just go out and treat yourself to an amazing day at the spa, go for a long walk by yourself, treat yourself to dinner and a movie (if you don't like dining alone and going to the theater, then order take-out and rent a DVD).

Become a truly independent person. Join some classes (karate works well!), volunteer (animal shelters are great), or take up a new hobby.

Slowly, but surely, you will find that you have better things to do than dwell on your ex. Let him (her) go and become the best person you can be.

Also know that it is ok to have one good, long cry (no more than a night's worth of crying).

A girl's night out right away is always fun and gets your mind off things.

Best of luck to you!

I spent two hours a day 6 days a week at the gym keeping busy so I could just go home and be extra tired and sleep without missing him. It worked! Excersizing made me happy and gave me a great body in which I found a new man with!!

Friends help to heal a lot during this period. Go out with them to malls, amusement parks, movies and just have fun.
Also, this is a golden chance... Don't let it go as this is the time you can spend with your family and create unforgetable memories, specially with ur mom or dad or ur sis... and you will see how their love and care heals you....
And believe in your heart that someday, somewhere you will find the right one ! For now, console your heart that he DOES exist and he will come....

I would just avoid all contact with her and not even speak to her on the phone and do anything to keep her off my mind. My ex and my former friend were in our bed together and I caught them so it was easy to walk away and not think of her.

Just do stuff that interest you to keep your mind off him. You can hang out with your friends more, go out, meet other men, or just focus on what's really important to you. It's hard....believe me, but eventually, you won't even care for him like you use to as time goes on. Do, what makes you happy and just do some of the things you use to do before you met him. Go treat yourself!
