Police report first, then you move. Your profile says you are 31, so why don't you simply move? Do not put yourself through such torture, don't worry about your death, you still have a life ahead of you.

Well u are rasing a serious allegation, think 100 times before u say this, but if u are serious, then I really think that there can be a way out of this situation, by having a serious and intense talk with ur father of what has went wrong and how it could be rectified.

But if doing all this doesn't help, then I still say that u first talk to him saying that " u won't see him again in ur life and therefore let u go", now even if this doesn't help then there is no option left but to contact law enforcement officials.

I understand.

When I was studying in Grade 10, one Sunday morning, I was dreamily looking at Aamir Khan dancing and I forgot to brush my teeth. After aamir, it was cartoons ... Those were the days when Sundays were full of kids stuff - And I was one big kid. Point of the story : My dad who was actually sleeping off a hangover, took one look at me in front of the TV and (at that time I thought - he was justified in being angry) he shouted at me. He took it a little too forward and called me a B***H - in very bad slang Tamil. I was very offended - I was still a girl and I honestly did not even know about sex and all this non sense and he calls me that. I cried. I also showed him some spunk by looking at his face and telling him off for calling me that and slammed my door.

Two years later when I was in grade 12, dad would not let me go to work. I was offered a job. Well, I was in two minds and I was more inclined towards not accepting. And dad was shouting and trying to make his point. Then he hit me. (I was always the punching bag for him, I was always hit, beaten up, slippered even at times belted - There was never a New Year's Eve when I was not beaten - I was ALWAYS beaten up on Dec 30 ) By the way, the year I did my Grade 12 Exams was 1996 (March 1996) The job offer came along the first week of April. I still had three more exams to sit. And here I was being beaten up. Something exploded inside and I told my dad - Dont hit me, or I'll hit you back.

He hit me. I hit him back. He sweared. Bad words. He left the room. Dec 30, 1996 - I was not beaten. Though there still were those momments when he'd slap me hard ...

But today, he'd better not cross my path. He threatens to kill my mom. He cannot even talk about me - Why?

1. I worked hard, studied, came here to AUH where mom is and I dont send a single paisa to my dad. (There are worthier people who deserve to be helped and need my help)
2. I can and will employ lawyers if need be to legally set things right.
3. I'll write my will as soon as possible.

I remember you. I answered a previous question for you. You seem to be going through similar situations like I've been through. All through my life I had and still cling on to 'Faith'. Only faith, strong will power, clear thinking, patience and determination will get you through. DONT PANIC. Think. Show some spunk - Smile. Dont be easy. Be clever.

By the way, lousy dads dont kill their golden egg laying goose. They threaten and try to keep them under their thumbs. Start pricking the thumb and at the right moment pierce it and get away.

God be with you :)

Absolutely no reason to ask for help here. The police or proper authorities are your only source of relief, prove to them what you are saying is true and they will take up your cause. Other option: move and tell no one where you live after you do, no credit cards, fake social security number, no phone nothing. You will be in hiding for the rest of your life but if you can't figure out how to do it otherwise good luck!

NIlu, dont waste time. Run out and ask for help. Police or call the child helpline. They will surely help you. Or report to a social worker, specially who is a lady. She will understand better.

The likelihood of a parent wanting to kill his child over anything is very remote. Most men who don't like their kids simply walk away. There is no reason to want to hurt a kid.

Buy a gun, to for karate classes, be strong. One is not safe, even in the family. Family feuds are more deadly than a real war.
