To think that i will be in heaven or hell as a self conscious person for eternity is one thing i would never agree to
to be a self conscious being means to be tormented every second and thats what we all experience as human beings
why would anyone want to continue to be tormented in heaven for eternity?

I don't agree that to be self-conscious is to be tormented every second. It's unfortunate that you do.
But I agree that the concept of eternal life, being life as we know it here on earth, is not particularly appealing. And heaven as depicted by the Christians is not appealing in the least.
But I think the term "eternal" must be taken as something we literally cannot imagine, and that is getting outside the linear time sense we currently have as humans. Like Mr. A Square stepping outside Flatland into three dimensional space, we will have a widened consciousness that does not find itself restricted to linear time.

Sorry, no one has said one will be tormented in Heaven forever, only Hell.
You have a choice.
Also, I highly doubt that you are tormented every second of your life.
