I have recently starting eating more fruit . kiwis, raisins and oranges and pears as I have mild iron defieciency anemia. My main question is that when you eat raisins will you be able to see some bits of raisin in the stool when you have been to the toilet - just wonderiing as there seems to be small bits of something when I go to the toilet

I am not sure why you are eating more fruit to help with anaemia. Most fruits don't contain much iron and what iron they do contain is not in a readily usable form for the body. In addition a high fruit intake will tend to purge the gut before your food is properly digested (hence the bits of raisin) so you will not absorb as many nutrients. If you have anaemia eat liver, black pudding or steak.

well I'm not sure but i do no you shouldn't eat to many as they are dehydrated and reheated inside you so even if you do chew them they will come out bigger so it could be them . It could be the seeds from the kiwi, my son loves them but the seeds are always in his Nappie by tea time!
I don't think it's any thing to worry about unless you find it painful to go.
Broccoli is a good one if your anaemic and have a glass of orange juice with it as iron needs vitamin c to be absorbed!
keep up the healthy eating!
