My kids want to turn me into a diamond, which is fine by me, I'll be dead.
Failing that I'd go for a humanist-style non-denominational service (or just a party would be good) and a woodland burial as it's environmentally friendly.

Does the thought of being disposed of on unconsecrated ground or someone turning you into a bit of bling put the proverbial fear of God into you?

Compost my body and feed me to a tree (preferably a Coast Redwood or Giant Sequioa). Makes more sense to continue the natural cycle than to just stick me in a box in the ground.

Like the way you think.
Cremation for me , after any useable parts have been salvaged.
Not religious, so a service is not high on my list.
Have said many times "if you feel the need to have a farewell... then ... if there is any spare cash....have a party.
Not one of thos maudlin Irish type wakes ( been to a few) where people get drunk , nasty & guilty about not having said "I love you" more...
I mean a... feel good.....live band.. partaaaay.
Aint going into the ground ..consecrated or not.
Would not mind if my ashes landed on the shiny new paint of some assholes BMW.
Diamond? did'nt know you could do that, but ... OK if it will help pay for the party.
Being agnostic, there is maybe just little room for me to say that cremation ( formerly banned by my former affiliation) is the ultimate act of faith.....Naaa.

I want a woodland burial too. I want no religious silliness spouted over me. I just want my remains to rest in Mother Earth and my Spirit to return to my Creator. Since becoming Pagan I have no fear of God. I only know Her love and His protection.

I'm planning on donating my organs, skin, etc., having all my hair cut off and donating that to Locks of Love (www.locksoflove.org), then being cremated. In the end my husband and I will be both be cremated and interred into the same plot, along with all the ashes for our past and future pets. (It's gonna make for a very wordy tombstone, but at least it'll save space!)

I'll be shake and bake and hopefully my ashes disposed of in festive way. I don't want to be set upon the mantel. Making diamonds out of ashes is quite costly.

Cremated, and throw my ashes at my favorite wilderness lake. I refuse to spend the amount of money they want for a casket burial.

i believe that we live in a time when the fear of God is not the issue, so i dont think its a problem to have a burial of your own choosing..

I want to be cremated and have my ashes scattered in England or New Mexico. I'd like them to have a party before.

Cremation. i understand that i would be lifeless and could no longer care one way or the different, however the theory-approximately being buried 6 feet under and the bugs eating away at my lifeless physique in basic terms freaks me out. in basic terms burn me up and scatter my ashes interior the mountains.

At the instant of death, the body is nothing but a shell, however
I do not think it is legal to dig a hole in the woods.
