It's a fantastic work of FICTION. Saying it has given me some epiphany is like saying I believe in witches and wizards now 'coz J K Rowling wrote Harry Potter...

The Da Vinci Code is filled with lies and half truths about Christianity, the Catholic Church, and even Leonardo Da Vinci.

Many people are taking this fictional book and movie as fact and are using some of its very strange theories to attack Christianity and the Catholic Church.

Do a quick search in Yahoo Answers and you will see some of these attacks.

To find some of the lies and half truths, do a quick search of the Internet or see: http://www.jesusdecoded.com

With love in Christ.

I view it as nonsence because in the gospel of Philip, the verse that states Jesus kissed someone, the words were filled in by the author of The Da vinci Code. Part of the scripture is unreadable so they added what they wanted it to say. They say Jesus had a relationship with Mary and they had children, this is nonsence if you ask me, Why would God want to have sex? I think they need a hug and some buttered toast.

No more than "Little House on the Prairie" did. Believe it or not, there are many people who believe Da Vinci Code is some long lost, recently discovered Gospel.

I have never saw this movie, but I did see another news clip on TV the other day, & from just that 30 second news talk, I will not waste my time on this movie. Or anything that has to do with it's author or it film makers. BTW, it has never raised any questions with me, & what I saw the other day, seals my thought on this novel or movie.

To those of you who pointed out that the Code wasn't in the non-fiction section, remember that the Bible isn't either. And as Paul Harvey said "That, my firends, is the rest of the story."

And now you can all start throwing stones and "Yeah buts.." It won't change a thing. The Bible still isn't, and never will be, considered fact by the masses. It's a book of moral tales and guidlines.

No more.

No less.

dan brown wrote a readable novel. there hs been others novels following similar pattern. dan's became famous due to his writing style, publisher gimmicks plus many seek understanding on God.

many seek knowedge but in the wrong place. there is nothing there to confuse or change views for a christian who is established on the rock - christ.

do not go to brothels to learn abt love.

I viewed the book as a work of fiction. I had heard these theories before, and, while they are interesting, I don't believe them to be true.

Holy Blood, Holy Grail - some of Brown's source material - raised question, but then when the sued Brown for treating their book as "history" and "stealing" their idea, I decided they were full of carp.
