Obviously the amputees would pray to heal, right? I mean, who wouldn't? So... Why ARE there amputees then? Is god "Punishing" them? What about little children born without limbs? Is god punishing them too?

Just curious.

(Expecting real answers, not bible quotes)

why are there amputees? because people cut their limbs off of course! what a silly question.

why don't limbs grow back? I don't know of any modern documented cases. God's tricky sometimes. I think if He explained the reasons why He doesn't heal every single amputee we wouldn't get it. not to say we cannot comprehend some of His reasons, just that are reasoning is different than God's and of course, He does the math and knows the future and what could, should or shall happen. simple to say, I don't really know and unless I get revelation from the Lord while knowing an amputee, I doubt I can give you the answer you're looking for

there are cases (not very recent that I know of) of those born with shrunken or no limbs and they grow back. the former there is a more recent example, one of a man whos leg was 6 inches too short and was deformed, and it was healed.

This temporary world we are living in for a short time is nevertheless a real physical world where if you get cut you will bleed, suffer a serious enough injury and you will die.

Nobody is going to avoid all the dangers, discomforts or escape this life intact. In fact, your destiny is death. If God healed everyone's illnesses, there would be no death.

If he wrapped us all in cotton wool then we would never experience a physical world where your and other people's decisions and actions have consequences.

Physical pain is absolutely vital to our survival. If we felt no pain, we would do things to ourselves that could be very destructive. For example, if we didn't feel pain when we touched a hot object, we would not react until we saw our flesh smoking. This is obviously not a good thing to do. Pain tells us we need to react to a situation before serious damage occurs.

God wants to do more than just heal your physical bodies, which are temporary. God wants to heal your soul, which is eternal.

Many things that people consider to be bad are, in fact, useful in our spiritual growth. The Bible says that trials in our lives produce perseverance, which helps make us mature and complete. These trials also increase our faith - a "refining by fire." The Bible tells us that "all things to work together for good to those who love God."

Prayer cannot change an event in time.

Every incident has a purpose whether it is getting amputated or maimed.

I have noticed a lot of amputees and I have seen the reason/s for their 'fate'. These people mostly where careless or not wary of many things around/near them (like blades, machines, etc: some were maimed because they got drunk and got involved in an accident)

Those born without limbs also have a reason - their parents! Either the parents were malnourished or unhealthy in other aspects physiologically or psychologically. Having a grumbling/querelling/smoking parent/s around when you are inside the womb (or after birth) will definitely affect your development and growth. Most women who become prostitutes are abused sexually at an earlier stage (A type of 'logical' amputation were key skills like communication, reading, writing, negotiation, reasoning are shunted because of sexual exploitation and orientation toward sex)

Everything in this word and beyond has a purpose.

no longer one checklist healed of such recorded?? I concern you're taking photos off your mouth devoid of having any data. study Matthew 9:2-6. Mark 2:3-9. Luke 5:18 those verses coach that a guy or woman with palsy (paralysis=paralyzed) became healed and able to stroll. Acts 8:7 says that MANY with such ailment have been healed. Why would not evolution make an amputated arm regrow? hi, Jesus became lifeless and being lifeless is done debilitation yet, He got here back to lifestyles..... i could say that exhibits ability.. no longer a great question. i think of you're somewhat extreme on your self.

Häßlich, I think it has to do with the fact they don't believe enough that they CAN be healed BUT all InvisibleSkyGuys hate amputees so it hardly matters if they believe in the SkyPixies in any case.

Why ARE there amputees then?

Here's how Jesus put it when asked a similar question about why bad things happen to people. Sorry about the "Bible quotes" but they are relevant to your question and since you are asking about God it's only right to listen to what his Son had to say.

Luke 13:1 There were some present at that very time who told him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.

2 And he answered them, "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered in this way? 3 No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. 4 Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them: do you think that they were worse offenders than all the others who lived in Jerusalem? 5 No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish."

In other words, we live in a fallen world where bad things happen to people. We only get one shot at life and if we don't repent and turn to Jesus for our salvation we aren't going to make it into the recreated world that God has promised to all who love Him.

Revelation 21:1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."

5 And he who was seated on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." Also he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true." 6 And he said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. 7 The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son.

8 But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death."

As a result of deformity, children and adults hands, limbs etc could be amputated. Also when accidents or riots occur, men and women, children and adults could be badly deformed. If amputating is the best choice for them by doctors, then, let it be.

For children born with deformity, it is not their faults and it has nothing to do with prayers. If pregnant women take self medication, o dangerous drugs or had physical combat during pregnancy, anything can happen.

Considering you are an obviously follower of "nothingisim" you should know that children born without limbs are just the next level in the evolution tree. as enlightened ones such as yourself evolve to the higher level you will not need limbs, just a large skull to contain that eminse brain you have developed. as far as amputees go, is it not true that your religions of nothingism teaches that at the end of this journey the car just...... stops......... , well i guess they just had a flat.

God might have some thing to do with his time

Failing to give God His due can result in death

"Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the Lord's side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him. And he said unto them, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbor. And the children of Levi did according to the word of Moses: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men" (Exodus 32:26-28).
